Holiday Eating

First off, know that you can always bring your own food to Thanksgiving dinner and/or prepare a dish that both tastes delicious and fits your program. Make sure to cover your plate with healthy choices first, and fill up on those. Concentrate on how these foods make you feel and how you know you’ll feel the next day if you indulge in an overabundance of unhealthy treats.

Second, don’t let one or two holiday events be an excuse for falling off the wagon.

Splurging once in a while doesn’t have to be the end of the world, as long as you get back on track immediately. Most often when people fall of their program they abandon their diet altogether, making haphazard decisions to resume diet plans in January. Don’t let this be you! Get back on your program as soon as possible. A special occasion blip does not override everything else you’ve done right.
